Just about to start "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell as recommended by a couple of you girls. Looking forward to getting stuck in!

And currently reading "Dog On It", which is a detective story told from the point of view of the PI's dog. It's a fun and interesting read.

It is a verry good book for gals who are going, or have gone through some tough times. It has been of great help for me, the Lord has taught me sooooooooo much though it, plus in every chapter there is something you can laugh about which is great.

Ok.....sorry about the infomercial hehehe :D

I recently bought this for .$50 at a thrift store! I thought of you right away when I saw it and you said how good it is.

I would love to know how No Country for Old Men goes, because I read McCarthy's The Road and had mixed feelings about it. I'm not sure if I liked it that much or not.

Just finished "The Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs. I started reading something else but i can't remember the name of it at the moment (the book is sitting in my room but i'm too lazy to get up and check).. Ok, i just googled a characters name... the book is "Once In A Lifetime" by Cathy Kelly.. haven't gotten very far in to it yet though...
Anyone else read either of these?

I finished The Memory Keeper's Daughter, and Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult a few weeks, maybe a month, ago. Its weird, i never used to read much but now i buy 3 or 4 books in one go every once in a while and they sit on my shelf for a while and i go through stages where reading just seems really fun to me and i can't put the book down. It's weird =P

Currently reading 90 Minutes in Heaven. I bought if for 50 cents from my job and heard that it was really good.

** update**

I'm a little dissapointed with this book. It's just not what I thought it was going to be. I'm still not finished, but it's not winning 5 gold stars and I thought that a man telling his story of dying and going to heaven and returning back to this world certainly would hold my interest. :/

Your God Is Too Safe by Mark Buchanan. It's incredible. I wish I had found this book sooner. For anyone who feels like they lull in spiritually dullness once in a while, this book will definitely make you think. I love the forward by Eugene Peterson in the beginning and feel that this book has a lot to offer, to a lot of people. :)

It's pretty good. You kinda have to read the whole series so that they all make sense (there is 1 book before, and 1 after.) They are light reads, and funny, and well, predictable, but that was okay. I liked them!

I just started He Chose the Nails by Max Lucado yesterday. I thought it would be a quick read when I glanced at it, but it gives me a lot of things to think about as I'm going along. Also got C.S. Lewis' complete works from the library to tackle once this book is done.

I'm starting Heirs of General Practice and C.S. Lewis' A Severe Mercy. I borrowed them from some people and being that I graduate and move come spring I should probably read them and get them back. I've had both for a couple years... Seems people shouldn't tell me to take my time...
